Incoco St. Patrick’s Nail Appliqués in Happy Go Lucky.

Walgreens is a dangerous place, especially if you are a product junkie. I stumbled across the Incoco St. Patrick’s Nail Polish Appliqués and I figured I would go ahead and try them since my Amazon wish list is full of it. They were $4.99 for 12 strips so I bought three designs with the intention of swatching one a day until St. Paddy’s day. That’s the plan.

The one I am wearing, Happy Go Lucky, is stunning and I received a lot of attention. It is a festive blend of multi-toned green stripes sitting pretty on a bed of golden glitter. I loved it so much I really didn’t want to take it off to try the other appliqués. The designs I chose were not overtly Saint Patrick’s themed and can be worn all year-long.

I have used Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips before and I like them, but I love the Incoco version. From an aesthetic perspective, Incoco’s designs are more appealing, more sophisticated and they seemed — fresher, if that makes sense to anyone. They are a perfect fit for my small fingers so I only had to trim away the excess product at the free edge. They adhered well, but not so well I couldn’t adjust the strip if misplaced.

The Sally Hansen manicures lasted longer, but that may have something to do with using a sticky base before applying the strips. The problem with applying a sticky base coat before applying the lacquer strips is that it is harder to correct if misplaced. The Incoco chipped on one nail by day two, but that was all the chipping until I removed several days later.
